Short version: this site knows as little about you as a website can.

What we collect about visitors

• No accounts, no registration.
• No tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies of its own.
• Standard server logs (IP address, requested URL, time) are processed transiently by our hosting providers (Vercel for the pages, our own server for the data API) to serve requests and prevent abuse.

What the site shows about vessels

All vessel information displayed here originates from public sources: AIS radio broadcasts that ships transmit openly by design and by regulation, official government sanctions lists, and public reference datasets (ports, cables, pipelines). The site concerns commercial vessels, not private individuals. Observations are presented as indicators derived from this public data, not as allegations.

Third parties

• Map fonts and sprites are loaded from Protomaps' public asset host.
• JavaScript libraries are loaded from public CDNs (unpkg, esm.sh).

If advertising is introduced on this site in the future, this policy and the site's consent handling will be updated accordingly before any ads are shown.
